Farinart is an expert in sourcing grains, seeds and pulses. We strive to find ingredients for bakeries that need to meet their consumers’ desire for unique flavors and sustainable food choices. We procure a wide variety of grains, including common cereals, seeds and pulses such as wheat, corn, oats, rye and triticale; pumpkin, sunflower, sesame and flax seeds; peas, lentils and lupin. We also specialize in the procurement of niche, ancient and heirloom grains such as amaranth, buckwheat, barley, chia, millet, quinoa, sorghum, teff, spelt and heritage wheats such as Khorasan, Emmer, and Red Fife.
We support local suppliers and work closely with farmers across Quebec and North America to tailor our crop selection to the needs of our customers. Our team also develops and actively maintains relationships with international partners to ensure a direct supply source. We invest in these relationships by attending trade shows and seminars around the world.
Our plants are strategically located near major roads, railways, and ports. Farinart is just minutes from the Port of Montreal, one of the largest container ports in the North Atlantic. We are conveniently close to roads and railways, and less than an hour from the US border. And in case of emergency, Montreal’s international airport is just an hour away.
